Admission Arrangements

Dunnington CE Primary School is a voluntary-controlled Church of England School, serving the whole community in which it is set. The Governing Body of Dunnington C.E. School operates an equal opportunities admissions policy, where no child can be discriminated against on the grounds of gender, ethnic background, religious belief or special needs. We welcome children from families of all faiths or of none that recognise and support the Christian ethos of the school.Dunnington CE Primary School Admissions Policy

All children can start school in the September before their 5th birthday.  You should apply for your child to start primary or infant school by the 15th of January in the school year your child turns 4. For entry in the September 2019 school year, children will have been born between 1st September 2014 and 31st August 2015.  Later start dates are possible and can be discussed with the headteacher.

Every June, a meeting is held for parents of children due to start in the following September. The children are also invited to spend several afternoons in school prior to starting school. If you would like a pre-admission visit, please telephone 01904 552910 and make an appointment. The headteacher or administrator will be pleased to show you around.
