Six girls from school took part in a fantastic ‘Girls active day ‘ at Archbishop Holgates School last Friday. The day was organised by Youth Sport Trust whose main aim is to ensure ‘more girls are more active’ and to prolong the amount of time they spend being active in P.E and sport as they get older. The girls listened to a powerful presentation from Jenna Downing, the world inline skating champion, took part in lots of different activities and produced a performance with an inspirational message at the end of the day, to show to the teachers and pupils from all the other schools in attendance. They did so well! The girls will now lead a project in school to raise the profile of girl’s sport and in addition, secured £200 of funding to help with this! Go girls!
