School Council Charity Election Results

 This year the school council collected suggestions and then the whole school voted for the 2 charities we will support for this academic year. These are:

*OSCAR’s (Ongoing, Support, Care And Research into) Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity

A charity that is very close to all our hearts and was established in memory of one of own pupils Oscar Hughes. The charity aims to fund critical research into paediatric brain tumours with the hope to find a cure and less devastating treatments and also works closely with other charities.

* Starlight Children’s Foundation

A charity that raises money to grant wishes for seriously and terminally ill children and provides different types of entertainment for children in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK.

School Council Charity Remembrance Art Competition

The first fund raising activity organised by the school council is a Remembrance Art Competition and the entry fee is a donation of £1 which will go towards our charities as well as the Remembrance charity, the Royal British Legion.

We invite all pupils to enter and decorate their Remembrance poppy, using any kind of pens, pencils, material, glitter, etc that you have at home. Make it as exciting and eye-catching as you can!

There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize for the Infants, the same for the Juniors and as many entries as possible will be put on display in school.

Below is the poppy template for you to download and decorate. Please bring all named entries into school along with the £1 entry donation by Wednesday 11th November.

We are looking forward to seeing the amazing entries that we get!
