pBuzz Band sessions will be on Thursdays immediately after school for children in KS2 and only cost £5 per session. Once your child has got to grips with playing a pBuzz there will an opportunity to move on to 1-2-1 brass instrument tuition. pBuzz Band sessions will be led by YMF Director, Ian Chalk, who you might know as the trumpet player in York-based party band ‘HUGE’.
Click here to get more information about our pBuzz Band and to register your child for sessions. Should there be a large number of children registering, we will look at the possibility of running more than one group.
Mr Chalk is also available in school and in his home studio for brass instrumental tuition. Contact him directly should you wish for your child to start learning an instrument: email@example.com. For further information on instrumental tuition, please see our Performing Arts Newsletter.Miss Dunn
There are lots of opportunities for children to engage with the performing arts at school. We have a newly formed Year 5/6 Dance club who are now in rehearsal for the Yorkshire Schools’ Dance Festival, along with instrumental and singing tuition happening during the week.
If your child wishes to start a club, or a musical instrument, please do not hesitate to speak to Miss Dunn or your child’s class teacher.
